Following a recent Dashboard update, the option to modify schedules was automatically disabled for all clients.

By default, clients can view their schedules but not edit them.

We encourage clients to contact our team for any long-term schedule adjustments. This helps us ensure that changes are applied correctly and that music broadcasting continues smoothly without interruption.

Why this change was made

Our goal is not to reduce your flexibility, but to minimize human errors. The scheduling interface can sometimes be visually misleading, and incorrect edits may affect music broadcasting in real time at your venue.

Access can be restored for some teams on request

Under request, we can reactivate this feature for your team. Once it is reactivated, all users with Manager access — can again modify your schedules directly from the Dashboard.

Please take extra care when making changes

To help prevent mistakes, we recommend the following best practices:

  • 📸 Take a screenshot before editing:

The Dashboard is a web-based application, so any changes you make are irreversible. Taking a screenshot before editing allows you to keep a visual record of your current setup, making it easier to restore or recreate your previous schedule if needed.

  • 💽 Save your changes and synchronise your players:

When you finish editing a block, click “Save” before closing it.

Once you’ve completed all your edits to the schedule, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “Done” to save all your modifications.

Once your modifications are saved, go to the Device tab on the Music Program page, then click “Sync all devices” to apply the updates.

  • 🕒 Edit times manually:

Click on a block and change the hour manually instead of dragging the block.

  • 🌙 For overnight scheduling:

If you want music to play past midnight, edit the last time slot of a selected Day, set the ending time to the next day at 00:00, and add a new block on the column of Day+1 between 00:00 and your desired end time.

  • 🔇 Check for blanks:

Blank spaces in the schedule mean that no music will be played during those time slots.

To ensure continuous playback between blocks, the ending time of one block must exactly match the starting time of the next. For example: If a Downtempo block starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 11:35 a.m., the following Midtempo block should start at exactly 11:35 a.m.

Once you’ve finished editing the schedule, carefully review the start and end times of all blocks to make sure there are no gaps.

  • 🔃 Overlapping blocks:

Overlapping blocks indicate that two playlists are programmed to alternate based on a defined ratio.

Each overlapping block is assigned a weight, displayed as a number next to the block name. For example: If the Downtempo blocks have a weight of 3, and the Downtempo French Medita blocks have a weight of 1, this means:
after three tracks from the Downtempo playlist, one track from the Downtempo French Medita playlist will play.

If you have a schedule with overlapping blocks, please kindly contact SPECTRE before you make any edits.

  • 🎵 Inform us of major changes:

If you significantly adjust the duration of a playlist (for example, extending a downtempo playlist from 2 hours to 6 hours per day), please let us know. We’ll then update the content proportions accordingly to avoid frequent repetition.
