Technical requirements of the Spectre Player app

The iOS app can be installed on the following devices, running iOS version 15.1 or higher.

  • iPod Touch 7th generation (2019)

  • iPad 5 (2017) and later

  • iPad Air 2 (2014) and later

  • iPad Mini 4 (2015) and later

  • iPad Pro (2015) and later

  • iPhone 6S (2015) and later​

The Android app can be installed on the following devices, running Android OS version 7.0 or higher, with Google Play enabled.

  • Samsung Galaxy S7 and later

  • Samsung Tab A and later

  • Google Pixel 2 and later

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and later

The app should run on other Android devices, provided they run Android OS version 7.0 or higher, but no support is provided for these platforms.

Configuration requirements for all devices

  • Automatic system updates must be enabled, or be applied in a timely manner.

  • Automatic app updates must be enabled, or be applied in a timely manner.

  • Auto screen lock must be disabled.

Network requirements for all devices

The application must have unconstrained Internet access — or at least a network access that matches the following requirements:

  • The device must be connected to either WiFi or cellular at all times.

  • The device MAC address must be whitelisted if MAC filtering is present on your network.

  • The device MAC address must be whitelisted if a captive portal is present on your network.

  • The device must have a working IPv4 or IPv6 address, and a gateway with routes to the global Internet.

  • The device must have a working DNS resolver, either from DHCP or manually configured.

  • The application's network traffic must be authorized if a firewall is present on your network. This includes HTTPS traffic to spectre-music.com subdomains, and TCP traffic over port 31517 to papertrailapp.com subdomains.
