Audio

The PULSE Player outputs unbalanced audio at line level (+8dBu / 1.9Vrms) over RCA connectors.

Depending on configuration, the RCA connectors can output:

  • a single mono stream as dual mono

  • a separate mono stream on each connector (e.g. Lobby stream on L connector, and Restaurant stream on R connector)

You will need an audio equipment on which to connect the PULSE Player, such as an audio amplifier, an audio processor, or an all-in-one speaker, with analog inputs. If your equipment has non-RCA analog inputs (e.g. XLR or Euroblock/Phoenix), get in touch with your SPECTRE account manager to ensure we provision the proper adapters.

A 1,5m dual RCA cable is bundled with each PULSE Player.

Power

You will need an available power outlet.

Each PULSE Player is bundled with a 110/220V power adapter and a detachable power plug suited for your local sockets. The cable is 1,5m long.

Internet access

The PULSE Player must have unconstrained Internet access — or at least a network access that matches the following requirements:

  • The device must be connected via Ethernet (100/1000) at all times.

  • The device MAC address must be whitelisted if MAC filtering is present on your network.

  • The device MAC address must be whitelisted if a captive portal is present on your network.

  • The device must have a working IPv4 or IPv6 address, and a gateway with routes to the global Internet.

  • The device must have a working DNS resolver, either from DHCP or manually configured.

  • The application's network traffic must be authorized if a firewall is present on your network. The complete list of all TCP and UDP traffic is available in the manual.

A 1,5m CAT6 Ethernet is bundled with each PULSE Player.
